QUALITY & COMPLIANCE

Quality control and compliance evidence must follow the exact SKU and revision.

Factory controls, golden samples, BOM lock, test plans and certification documents should support one controlled product state rather than a generic model family claim.

Keep Three Control Systems Separate

Factory Quality
Controls whether production remains consistent with the released product. Market Compliance
Applies to the exact SKU, configuration and destination market. Battery Transport
Supports shipment requirements and does not replace market certification or factory QC.

Control the Approved Product

Keep production tied to the approved golden sample, BOM, battery configuration, PCB revision, firmware, charging behavior, artwork and packaging. Review changes before release rather than after shipment.

MAGNETIC / Qi2 CLAIM CONTROL

Do Not Treat Magnetic Attachment as Qi2 Certification

For magnetic wireless models, verify the exact SKU, wireless architecture, certification scope, artwork and market claim before release. Similar housings or magnetic rings are not model-level proof.

Power Bank Quality Compliance FAQ

What is the difference between factory QC, compliance and battery transport?

Factory QC controls production consistency, market compliance applies to the exact SKU and destination market, and battery transport evidence supports lithium-battery shipment. One does not replace another.

Can one certificate automatically cover similar power bank models?

Do not assume so. Check the exact model, hardware revision, cell/PACK, PCB, cables, wireless functions, power level and destination market. Certification by Market →

What is UN38.3, and does it replace product certification?

UN38.3 addresses lithium-cell and battery transport testing. It does not replace destination-market product compliance. See the official UNECE reference →

What should be locked before mass production?

Lock the golden sample, BOM, cell/PACK source, PCB revision, firmware, charging behavior, cables, housing, artwork, accessories and packaging; review changes before release. Validation & NPI →

Additional Quality & Compliance FAQ

Why should compliance documents match the exact SKU?

Changes to the battery, PCB, charging power, wireless function, cables, enclosure or market version can affect the applicable test scope. A report for a similar product should not automatically be treated as proof for the final SKU.

What is the role of a golden sample in quality control?

The golden sample is the approved physical reference for appearance, interfaces, labels and packaging. It should be linked to the written specification, BOM and revision used for production.

How should IQC, IPQC and final inspection work together?

IQC controls incoming materials, IPQC controls the build process and final inspection checks the finished units and shipment presentation. All three should reference the same model and revision.

When should a quality issue trigger CAPA or 8D?

Use CAPA or 8D when a defect is recurrent, systemic, safety-relevant or important to the customer. Containment, root cause, corrective action, responsibility and effectiveness verification should be recorded.

What should buyers check before shipment release?

Confirm the finished quantity, exact SKU and revision, function, workmanship, accessories, packaging, labels, carton marks, open-quality-issue status and the required market and transport documents.

Can certification replace factory quality control?

No. Certification addresses defined compliance requirements for a tested product configuration. Factory quality control is still required to keep mass-produced units consistent with the approved configuration.
